The availability of corn as the primary ingredient in poultry feed often becomes a constraint due to price fluctuations and limited supply. This study aims to evaluate the effect of substituting corn with a combination of cassava tubers as an energy source and Indigofera zollingeriana leaves as a protein source on feed intake, feed efficiency, daily egg production, and feed conversion in laying quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica). A completely randomized design (CRD) was used in this study, with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of: P0 (0% combination of cassava tuber and Indigofera zollingeriana leaves (KSI)), P1 (10% combination KSI), P2 (20% combination KSI), P3 (30% combination KSI), and P4 (40% combination KSI). The results showed that the combination of cassava tubers and Indigofera as a corn substitute in laying quail feed had no significant effect (P>0.05) on feed intake, feed efficiency, daily egg production, and feed conversion. The inclusion of the cassava-Indigofera combination in feed up to 40% did not indicate any reduction in quail productivity.
