Abstract

This study aimed to determine the internal organs of broiler by using a combination of cassava meal and Indigofera zollingeriana meal as a substitute energy with citric acid in the ration for the internal organs of broiler. The design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 5 replications. Each treatments consisted of cassava meal, Indigofera zollingeriana meal and citric acid in the raton. P0 (commercial feed), P1 (use of 5% combination of cassava meal and Indigofera zollingeriana meal + 0,2% citric acid), P2 (use of 10% combination of cassava meal and Indigofera zollingeriana meal + 0,2% citric acid), P3 (use of 15% combination of cassava meal and Indigofera zollingeriana meal + 0,2% citric acid) and P4 (use of 20% combination of cassava meal and Indigofera zollingeriana meal + 0,2% citric acid). The variables observed in this study was the weight of broiler internal organs including liver, heart and gizzard. The results showed that the use of combination of cassava meal, Indigofera zollingeriana meal and citric acid had a significant effect (P<0,05) on the broiler internal organs of the gizzard, but did not have a significant effect on the heart and liver. The percentage of heart weight is 0,42-0,5%, percentage of gizzard weight is 1,44-2,02% of the broiler weight, and the percentage of liver weight is 2,3-2,6%
