The aim of the study was to examine the effect of adding soy sauce by product in the rations on the
development of the reproductive tract and ovaries of quails. The material used in the study was 360 quails
aged 112 days with an average weight of 180 ± 5.2 grams. The design used in this study was a completely
randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments for adding soy sauce dregs
to the ration were as follows P0 : 0%, P1 : 5.8%, P2 : 11.6%, and P3 : 17.4%. The parameters observed
were the relative length and weight of the reproductive tract consisting of the infundibulum, magnum,
isthmus, uterus, vagina and ovaries. The data obtained were d using analysis of variance (Anova) with F
test at 5% then continued with Duncan test to determine the effect between treatments. The results showed
that the addition of soy sauce dregs had no significant effect (P<0.05) on the relative length and weight of
the reproductive tract and quail ovaries except for the relative weight of the vagina. The conclusion of the
study is that the presence of isoflavones as antioxidants and phytoestrogens from soy sauce residues has a
beneficial effect and does not inhibit the development of the reproductive tract and ovaries.
