This study was conducted to determine the physiological status of MA (Mojosari-Alabio) laying
ducks which were given fermented cabbage waste on peatlands. This study used a Completely Randomized
Design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications so that there were 20 treatment combinations, thus
20 MA laying ducks were needed as research objects. The variables measured consisted of body
temperature, respiratory rate, and heart rate. The treatments in this study were P0 (100% basal ration), P1
(95% basal ration with 5% fermented cabbage waste), P2 (90% basal ration with 10% fermented cabbage
waste), and P3 (85% basal ration with 15% fermented cabbage waste). The results showed that the
provision of fermented cabbage waste was not significantly different from body temperature (P>0,05), but
very significantly different with respect to respiratory frequency (P<0,01), and significantly different to
heart rate (P<0,05). Physiological status of MA laying ducks (Mojosari-Alabio) consisting of body
temperature, respiratory rate/minute, and heart rate/minute were in normal conditions. The cage
temperature is in normal conditions, namely 27,91 , while the humidity of the cage exceeds normal
℃
conditions, namely 76,06 %, but MA (Mojosari-Alabio) laying ducks can adapt so that they do not cause
disturbances in physiological status
